Santuario di Santa Maria di Monte Berico

Santuario di Santa Maria di Monte Berico
The website of the Sanctuary of Santa Maria di Monte Berico, [https://monteberico.it](https://monteberico.it), underwent a complete redesign to improve the experience for users and worshippers. The previous version had several issues: broken pages, missing images, invisible posts, and essential information—such as celebration schedules—difficult to understand. These shortcomings often led visitors to call by phone just to get clarification.

The new website was entirely developed by me on behalf of a contact external to the Sanctuary, using a modern and functional structure. To ensure efficiency and speed, a performance-optimized theme was used, with targeted CSS customizations to avoid unnecessary plugins that could slow down the system. This approach allowed for a clean design and intuitive navigation, making information easily accessible.

Visitors can now easily find details about the Sanctuary’s activities, Mass schedules, and other useful information. The site also offers insights into the history, art, and spirituality of Monte Berico, enriching the online experience for both worshippers and tourists. An English version has also been implemented to better welcome international visitors.

Among the new features, an online donation system has been set up, making it easy and secure for worshippers to support the Sanctuary’s activities.

A blog section allows for independent publishing of events, news, and updates. After training the staff on how to use the CMS, the blog was seamlessly integrated into their daily management.

I managed and maintained the site for over a year, providing regular updates, performance monitoring, and continuous technical support—ensuring a digital experience that consistently met expectations.
